Stand before any fire, look into the flames (or flame if you're using a candle), and visualise the fire bathing you with a glowing, protective light. The fire creates a flaming, shimmering sphere around you. If you wish, say the following words:

Guide me with your gentle hands.
I place my trust in you, please say you'll be true.
It's you I trust,

While I'm flying overseas.
So Mote It Be
Drunk daily, this simple potion will help revive flagging brain cells. Takes a large pink of dried rosemary, and the same of dried sage. Add boiling water and steep for at least five minutes.
Ask yourself this question: Who will make you feel better when you're upset?
Picture that person clearly in your mind and say the following words:
In my mind I see you here
In my pain I need you near
Find me, trace me where I be
Come her, come here to me
Three wishes do come true
Craft the spell in the fire
Craft it well; weave it higher.
Weave it now of shining flame;
None shall it come to hurt or maim.
None shall pass this fiery wall;
None shall pass, non, none at all.
Take three fresh or dried bay leaves, one for each wish, and light a white candle for purity. In front of the flame, write in blue ink one wish on each leaf. Hold the bay leaves in a fan shape and gaze into the candle flame, close your eyes and visualise each wish individually. Picture how life will be when each wish is fulfilled. If the visions fade, open your eyes, look into the flame, close your eyes again and, and continue. Kiss the front and back of each bay leaf, place them in an envelope, and put it under your pillow. Snuff out the candle. In the fullness of time, each wish will come true.
To protect yourself before venturing out
Before stepping outside your home, open the front door and throw a glass of cold water onto the floor directly outside. As you step outside say aloud:
'May all my (or your) problems go with the water, Lord and Lady bless my steps.'
Make sure you tread in the water as you move away from your home. (Do not turn back into your home at the same time as this will reverse the spell.)
